March 22, 2010 - British Imperial apologist Niall Ferguson, in a Foreign Affairs magazine article entitled 'Complexity and Collapse,' has proclaimed that the United States empire is doomed to collapse. Ferguson is wrong; the United States is not an empire, but under the Obama administration the United States is doomed.

Perhaps you are one of the students experiencing cuts to your education, perhaps you're one of the millions of unemployed workers in the United States, or, perhaps you are one of the millions of Americans whose healthcare has been cut by the recent passage of Obama's healthcare legislation. Take a minute. Step out of the bubble of day-to-day life and take a good look at the larger picture. Look at what is happening to your future and the future of your nation, not from the standpoint of your specific problem per se, but from the vantage point of the existential crisis the world is facing. The 49 bankrupt states, the budget cuts, unemployment, the mass of foreclosures, and the collapse in productivity, are not singular events, but symptoms of a global economic breakdown crisis. A global breakdown crisis that began over 40 years ago when the decision was made to first pervert, and later dismantle, Franklin Roosevelt's Bretton Woods system. At that point, the commitment by the United States to destroy the British Empire and to develop the backwards colonial nations of the third world, ceased. Instead we have marched over the cliff into the abyss of deindustrialization, replacing our high standard of industrial capacity with cheap labor markets around the world, and replacing classical artistic and musical composition, a truly creative culture, with the mind-deadening rock, drug, sex counterculture. It is this loss of morality that has directly created the holocaust conditions of present day sub-Saharan Africa, the disaster of Haiti, the drug infested streets of South America, and the unending, bloody wars in southwest Asia. This process, known today as globalization, has not only drawn down the productive capacity of the entire world, but has driven civilization currently, to a New Dark Age for all humanity.

Today, I am directly addressing your future.

The only solution, if we are to survive, does not lie in a mere student or citizen's protest; it does not lie in the crimes of a violent, Jacobin mob; rather we must unite around the only existing policy to replace the current, failed system: The LaRouche Plan. I am calling on everyone who has the guts to save this American Republic from hell, to kick the traitors out of Congress, to get rid of this failed President Obama, and to implement the LaRouche Plan immediately. Here's what we do:

1) Stop the bail out-- take your money back!

2) Use a Glass-Steagall standard to put the banking system through bankruptcy reorganization-- no longer will Wall Street and London financial interests be allowed to reign in this economy.

3) San Francisco, once the gateway to the West, must take leadership, along with the rest of the Western United States, to become the gateway across the Pacific to the nations of the East. The United States must play the leading role in forming treaty agreements with the sovereign nations of Russia, China, and India, under a renewed fixed exchange rate system. This "Four Powers" arrangement will serve as the basis for a 50-100 year science and classical artistic cultural-driver, and industrialization program for the world, the forefront of which would be a joint manned-space mission to industrialize the Moon and colonize Mars, and beyond.

These steps will be the first in an uphill battle to rescue the souls and the morality of present and future generations.

Contrary to what Niall Ferguson would prefer you believe, there is no such thing as the failure of the so-called "American Empire,"--what has failed, and what must be destroyed, if we are to survive, is the bestial view of man that the current, imperial, British financial system has created.
