April 22, 2010 -- This is Summer Justice Shields, and I am part of a national campaign of candidates associated with Lyndon LaRouche, and the LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC). We have a mission to rid the world of the crime of usury, and to restore the principles upon which this nation was founded, namely the inalienable rights of man and the general welfare, and including taking mankind to Mars in this century.

From the vantage point of Mars, what is our task today? The world is facing a terrible crisis. At this moment the entire economic system of the planet is at a point of an already fully operational, accelerating crash and breakdown - a crisis, which is being fanned by imperial-instigated warfare in the Middle East, Central Asia, and elsewhere. Although centered in the trans-Atlantic region, the crash will affect every part of the world, including the parts of Asia, which are moving in a positive direction. Even when a particular nation is not bankrupt in itself, the world system as a whole, is, and if that collapses, every part of the world goes down in the same collapse.

If we are to survive, a radical shift in world policy, as well as a change in the minds of the population is required. My campaign represents just that. Before the cultural degeneration of the last 40 years, San Francisco used to be thought of as 'the gateway to the West' with a proud scientific and industrial tradition. That tradition must be revived. I am calling on all patriots to join me in demanding the implementation of LaRouche's 'Plan for Economic Recovery', for the sake of this nation as well as for the world.

LaRouche proposes, that a powerful group of four nations, the U.S.A., Russia, China, and India, join to assemble as a core, around which to rally other sovereign states, to put the world's present monetary-financial system into reorganization-in-bankruptcy. Those four powers represent sufficient strength to eliminate the tyranny of international finance, typified by the Inter-Alpha group, centered in City of London and Wall Street. If this is done, with a strict form of a global “Glass-Steagal” standard among the nations of the world (modeled on Roosevelt's famous 'Glass-Steagall Act of 1933), we can take back the $24 trillion in bailouts, halt the presently onrushing breakdown-crisis, and create a global, fixed-exchange-rate credit system.

In other words, we get rid of the disease of usury, and use government-backed, low interest credit to drive an economic recovery through long-term investment in basic economic infrastructure, such as nuclear fission and fusion technologies, modern mass-transit systems, water management, expanded systems of general health-care and education, and, most importantly, a science driver space program to industrialize the Moon and from there continue to Mars – a pathway already embarked on by China and India! This is a future shaped by nations collaborating upon a common principle of mutual development and the general welfare – the American way.

Most important with this new orientation, will be the value of man created. Imagine a child growing up, and seeing the first man or woman on Mars. What view of the world will that child have? Will there be any boundaries to what that child can create within its lifetime?

It is for that reason that I am running for congress – because, in a few decades from now, San Francisco should be known as the gateway to a new just world economic order led by the trans-Pacific region, as well as to Mars and to mankind's unbounded dominion in the universe.
